New Bunnings Warehouse project in Victoria

Drainwell DW1592 Drainage Cells were the preferred option used for an On Site Storm Water Detention Tank (OSD) at a new Bunnings Warehouse project in Victoria. The site required a 500m³ OSD tank to meet WSUD requirements. Storm Water flows into the tank and is then discharged into the council stormwater system at a reduced flow rate. To maximise the land usage it was necessary to install the tank underneath the busy car park area. The Drainwell OSD tank system footprint was 54m long x 8m wide. A 95% Standard Proctor density compaction was required before the asphalt pavement layer was placed above the tank.
