Stormwater Detention Tank: 140,000L Melbourne
Novaplas supplied an Underground Stormwater Detention Tank for the new McKinnon Secondary School in East Bentley. This is a Victorian State Government project and is being built by ADCO.
The Drainwell tank had to go through a rigorous approval process and either met or exceeded all the necessary criteria.
A capacity of 140,000L was required to manage excess stormwater on site.
The Victorian State Government has contributed $70 million to build the new campus, which will be a state of the art vertical school that will increase McKinnon Secondary College’s capacity, allowing up to 1,100 extra students.
The campus has been designed by K2LD Architects and is being constructed by ADCO. It will create around 200 construction jobs.
